The Centre of Knowledge on
Healthy Child Development is dedicated to finding, evaluating
and summarizing only the very
best research on subjects pertinent
to healthy child development and child and youth mental health.

Evidence-Based Mental Health is a quarterly digest that alerts clinicians to new developments in mental health research.  It summarizes both original and review articles, chosen according to a strict set of criteria designed to ensure that the information is most likely to be accurate and clinically useful.

For studies to be included in Evidence-Based Mental Health, their authors must provide descriptions of:

  • the research question
  • the search strategy
  • the number of articles located
  • the criteria for including and excluding studies, and
  • the best evidence found and used in the review.

Evidence-Based Mental Health is published by the BMJ Publishing Group, The Royal College of Psychiatrists, and the British Psychological Society under the editorship of Dr. John Geddes at the University of Oxford, U.K., Dr. David Streiner at the University of Toronto, Canada, Dr. Peter Szatmari at McMaster University, Canada, and Graham Towl at the Department of Health in the U.K.
